CO2 footprint for Trisa accessories

The CO2 emissions of our ECO hair accessories are now being offset in many ways.

Our ECO hair accessories line is consistently produced from recycled or renewable raw materials. We pay attention to the shortest possible transportation routes and environmentally friendly modes of transport. However, every production process causes unavoidable CO2 emissions, no matter how carefully it is produced. That is why we offset 100% of all remaining and unavoidable emissions through a local Swiss climate protection project.

In collaboration with our partner Swiss Climate, we have analyzed the CO2 footprint of our ECO hair jewelry products along the entire value chain based on scientific principles. CO2 emissions are identified and recorded in accordance with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol Product Life Cycle Accounting and Reporting Standard and ISO 14067. The CO2 emissions are analyzed from material procurement to sale as well as the disposal/recycling of the product (“cradle-to-sale” + end-of-life). Based on the results, measures are taken to further reduce the CO2 footprint

WE SUPPORT A CERTIFIED SWISS CLIMATE PROJECT

To fully offset unavoidable emissions, we are committed to climate protection in the Swiss forest. We support a project in the canton of Schwyz to secure CO2 storage and the sustainable management of 7,279 hectares of forest. This protects the climate, preserves biodiversity in the Swiss forest and enables the production of energy wood for renewable energy production. Thanks to the project contributions, the protective function against natural hazards in the forest can be guaranteed. More information on the climate protection project:

BIG LOVE ♥ KNITTED HAIR TIES

All CO2 emissions for our knitted hair elastics made from recycled polyamide Q-nova© and recycled PET have been offset. The materials used come from certified sources in accordance with the Global Recycling Standard and are particularly hard-wearing and dimensionally stable. Not only that, but our round knitted hair ties are extremely soft and gentle on hair, without an irritating seam. No tearing, no pulling, and guaranteed to be comfortable!

WE CARE BARETTES

High-quality, resource-saving barettes made of natural cellulose acetate M-49© is what we care about! They are made of cellulose acetate, which comes from cotton and wood pulp fibers. By mixing in natural softening agents, an ideal granulate for further processing is created. The natural plastic consists of 68% provable renewable materials. Our barrettes are manufactured from renewable raw materials which are not in competition with the food chain. That saves resources – we like it!

Our spiral hair ties are made of 100% recycled plastic. The post-consumer plastics used come from a GRS-certified source.
